Local Anzac Day Activities

The Kenmore-Moggill Sub-Branch Inc. district, commemorative services will be conducted at both the Bellbowrie Cenotaph, Lions Park Bellbowrie and “The Moggill Digger” memorial, Kenmore Village Shopping Centre.

In the week preceding Anzac Day, at both Bellbowrie Shopping Centre and Kenmore Village Shopping Centre, volunteers will be selling badges to raise funds that allow us to continue the great work done in our community by the Bub-Branch.  If you are not able to get down and buy a badge, donations can also be made on our web-site, visit www.kenmoremoggillrsl.org for more information on badge sales, donations, details of services on Anzac Day and much more.

 

Dawn Service

Commences 5:30 am at the Bellbowrie Cenotaph, followed by a traditional “Gunfire” breakfast at the Moggill Girl Guides hut.  A gold coin donation is encouraged for the breakfast.

Street parking at the Dawn Service can become congested; parking at the Bellbowrie Shopping Centre and walking the 5 minutes down to the service can alleviate this.

 

Anzac Day March

Stepping off point for the Anzac Day March is the corner of Kenmore and Moggill Rd, muster for veterans is in the front of Our Lady of Rosary Church, all other groups are requested to form up on Kenmore Rd and be ready to step off by 7.50 am.

Commencing at 8:00am the march will proceed down Moggill Rd towards Kenmore Village Shopping Centre, the march past dais will be positioned on the left-hand side of the route before reaching the roundabout, where the Reviewing Officer will take the salute.

Anzac Day Service

Conducted at “The Moggill Digger” memorial at 8:30am, the front rows of seating are reserved for veterans arriving at the completion of their march.  At the conclusion of the service, the Kenmore Rotary will serve morning tea, inside the Kenmore Village Shopping Centre.

Members of the Kenmore-Moggill Sub-Branch and their guests are invited at 10:30am to the Brookfiels Showgrounds for Breakfast before the Shell Green cricket match commences.

Representatives from the Sub-Branch will also be in attendance at the Fairview Pinjarra Hills War Veteran Home for their 10:30am service.
