RSL (Queensland Branch) Announcement – Appointment of CEO
Dear Fellow Members. It is with great pleasure that I announce theappointment of Luke Traini to the role of CEO of RSL (Queensland Branch).Many of you would know Luke as the General Manager Lotteries – a role he has excelled in for the past 10 years. The Board were delighted when Luke accepted the CEO role, as he has a proven track record in driving prudent business growth and an exceptional knowledge of our organisation.Luke has been the driving force behind the growth of the Lotteries business. Under his leadership, the Art Union has become the most successful of its kind in Australia, achieving remarkable year-on-year growth, thereby enabling us to expand our capability to support a growing number of our military family.As CEO of RSL (Queensland Branch), Luke will be responsible for managing the business side of the organisation. Put simply, this means Luke will develop the organisational plan; oversee corporate functions including HR, finance, IT, marketing, administration, facilities, and the Art Union; and ensure that we continue to grow and improve our business capability.He will work alongside the State Secretary, which is currently being recruited, whose role will be to focus on the delivery of veteran services and all accompanying activities including corporate governance, membership strategies and assisting Districts and Sub Branches.
Luke has the full support of the Board and we look forward to working closely with him to continually improve the way we do business to ensure that RSL (Queensland Branch) can keep on providing those who have served our nation with the support they so richly deserve.
Luke will be in attendance at the Annual General Meeting later this week at which time he will be formally introduced to the delegates.
