The Kenmore-Moggill Sub-Branch Commemorative Committee has been running a program to provide all schools in the Kenmore-Moggill RSL area with a commemorative plaque in memory of all those who have fallen in conflict. The program is now complete. Many thanks to Shed West for their support with this program.
After many years of patience by the school and continual searching for a source by the RSL, the final school in the Kenmore/Moggill RSL district was presented with their commemorative plaque.
The presentation was made by RSL Past President Max Lockwood in a small ceremony held at the school on 1st April 2015.
The event was attended by teachers, staff, students, RSL representatives, Shed West representatives and a number of parents. The ceremony was made more poignant by the fact it was held on the 100th anniversary of ANZAC. Although the ceremony was small, it was a very moving occasion.
